Buying upholstered furniture is a big investment, so you'll want to feel confident that you're making the right choice. It may not be the first thing on your mind when purchasing a sofa, but things like cushions fillings, frames and springs all need to be thought about. All frames are glued, screwed and dowelled.
Frames
The timbers used in Laura Ashley upholstery frames are carefully selected for their stability and strength, quality and durability. Our frames can be made from a variety of materials, but most are made from hardwood and a mixture of manufactured man made boards.
Foam interiors provide a firmer more resilient seat that benefit from extremely low maintenance. The resilience of foam may appear very firm initially but over years, the foam will compact and lose volume a little. Cushions should be turned occasionally to allow even wear.
Feather filled upholstery will have a more relaxed, casual look, ideal if you like to curl up on the sofa. Cushions should be plumped daily.

Fibre will give a softer look and feel to sofa's and chairs. Just plump and turn cushions occasionally to maintain comfort and wear.

Upholstery Guarantee (the "Guarantee")The frame construction and springs of our Upholstery (excluding ex-display and seconds Upholstery) are guaranteed for normal domestic use for five years, provided that the Information and Care Guide (received with the product) has been followed.
