Measuring up for furniture
When buying large items of furniture, it is vital to make sure it will fit your room and you have sufficient access into your house. Make sure there is enough height, width and diagonal depth to accommodate your furniture’s entry and that there’s plenty of room to manoeuvre around corners and through doors.
Three steps to ensure a problem free delivery
Before ordering, please check carefully that the upholstery, bed and cabinet products you have ordered will fit into the intended space in your home.
1. Check the dimensions of the space in which the product will be placed.
- Allow for skirting boards, especially in recesses, door or window frames, and headroom under any unusual spaces such as sloping roofs.
- When ordering a sofabed, recliner or any extending item, remember to consider your product size when opened.
- Product dimensions shown are taken from the largest or widest point.
2. Measure any staircases, doorways or corridors the product will have to pass through,
including the space for manoeuvring and turning.
- This is especially important on products marked as LARGE as this indicates they will require extra space for manoeuvring during delivery and so all measurements should be checked carefully.
3. Our delivery vehicles are large. Please check that they can gain safe and ample access to or
immediately adjacent to the delivery address.
- Please let us know at time of order if there are any access restrictions or special needs which must be considered to ensure a successful delivery
