ROMAN BLINDS.
LINING.
Laura Ashley Made to Measure Roman Blinds are available lined, to protect main fabric from fading by sunlight and improve product drape.
Lining is 100% cotton sateen, and is available in a choice of colours:
White, Cream or Oatmeal.
If you are not sure which colour to choose, a colour will be recommended for the fabric you have chosen as you proceed through your order.
BLACKOUT LINING.
All Roman Blinds are available with Blackout Lining, (instead of standard lining as above), at an additional cost.
Blackout lining is a 50%cotton/50%polyester fabric with a 3-pass blackout coating, and is available in a choice of colours: White or Cream.
Blackout lining greatly reduces light coming from outside penetrating the room, so is excellent for children's rooms. However, although light cannot penetrate the lining, light can come into the room around the top and sides of the blind. Fitting the blind inside the window recess, and using it in conjunction with curtains can improve this.
If outside light is strong, it may also be possible to notice pinpricks of light in rows across the blind, where the tapes that hold the rods are attached to the blind.
When dry cleaning is advised for a blackout lined Roman Blind, a sensitive process should always be used.
INTERLINING.
All Roman Blinds are available with Interlining, (instead of standard lining as above), at an additional cost.
Interlining is 100% cotton sateen lining fabric, with an extra layer of 100% polyester wadding laminated to the reverse. Interlining is available in a choice of colours: White, Cream or Oatmeal.
Interlining increases the bulk of your blind, this needs to be considered if a long blind is required, as when fully drawn up the blind may hang forwards at the front.
Interlining is not available in conjunction with Blackout Lining.
ROLLER BLINDS.
LINING.
Laura Ashley Made to Measure Roller Blinds are available with lining laminated to the back of the main fabric, to stiffen the main fabric and protect it from fading by sunlight.
Lining is 100% cotton, and is available in a choice of colours:
White, Cream or Oatmeal.
